So it's been a heck of a long time since I've updated and I'm bored so I was like... eh, why not.

So I've officially completed a semester at UH... there's not much to talk about. I don't think I've ever gone through a semester without any sense of urgency towards my grades until this past one. Not to say I didn't learn anything, but I guess they just don't give you as much to do because they expect you to be working... and me waiting for the restaurant to open for half a semester hasn't exactly been what I'd call a wahoo of a time. I mean, I suppose I learned things in marketing and accounting that I'll defenitely use in the future, it's just that I have no use for it now. The rest of my classes were pretty much a joke. Oh well, I guess it was good to have one semester of being useless. Hopefully I'll be busy next semester on.

I've had a heck of a time since finals finished on Tuesday. My break has consisted of two poker nights, a night out with Steph watching Chronicles of Narnia, and last night I went to the orchestra alumni dinner for the first time since I never had the chance to go when I was attending CIA. After dinner we went and toured the new fine arts facilities that they just finished this year and played a couple rounds of Christmas music for old times sake. I personally hadn't touched my instrument since the last day of orchestra senior year, so needless to say I sucked big time. I'd forgotten how to play anything other than first and third position.

Also, Chronicles of Narnia was really good, I reccommend it to anyone who liked the LOTR series. Though I'll say it wasn't as good as fellowship of the rings. Also, I know the polar bears in that movie were "bad guys" but they were just misunderstood. I promise. All polar bears are good.

Break will probably consist of working whenever the hell they get the restaurant up. That and hanging out with Karen, maybe playing cards even though Keith is leaving for India, and a lot of PAC time whenever James feels the need to get his arse down here.

I think I'm going to finally start a small catering business for some side cash, Crate and Barrel 2 is going to make a small fortune off of me.

So I'm back from the trip John and I took to Chicago. This is the jist of what happened (mind that these are just a couple pictures from each place. We got tasting menus the whole time so it was a bunch of pictures.):

Day 1, Moto:

Day 2, Weiner's Circle (for lunch):

Green Zebra (for dinner):

Day 3, Mr. Beef (for lunch):

What John and I did for fun in our spare time... go to CB2 (Crate and Barrel 2)... there were a lot of cool plates, so I bought some more new toys.

Spiaggia (for dinner):

Day 4, nothing great happened except now I know not to fly American Airlines and that I should fly into Midway because O'Hare is a crappy airport with a crappy Chili's. Our plane was delayed because the door broke and apparently we can't fly with a broken door. We were delayed 2 and a half hrs as they tried to find us another plane or fix the one that was broken. They finally found another plane and loaded us all on, only to tell us that we were going to wait another 20 minutes because the "no smoking light in the first class bathroom was broken" so we waited for that to be fixed... all in all though, great trip. Good food. It was fun seeing Steph again. Oh and John gets 1 cool point for hanging out with me all that time.

Thanks Chicago (the view from our room):

Freshly made dumplings.

Passion fruit iced tea with jelly.

Getting sucked in by di di's living room.

Spicy Spaghetti. Being full by the end of the appetizers at BJ's.

Watching Super Size Me one day? Eating a 4x4 (4 patties on a burger) the next.

I'm never watching Jackass ever again.

Watching Friends. Lots and lots of Friends.

In N Out. In N Out. In N Out. In N Out.

Ugh, I wonder how much weight I gained.

Oh California... I'm getting too old for this... wait, no I'm not. Thanks to everyone for making this time just as fun as every other time, especially Stefan for driving us around. It makes me realize what a great family I have and why I am who I am. For the memories that are both old and new, thanks you all (ya'll.)

So I was thinking...

for the past 2 and a half weeks, Casper (my brother's cat for those of you who don't know) has been staying with us because Clinton and Abby moved to a new apartment and want to inflict pain upon their families by leaving their cats at home.

Anyway.

Casper has decided to take over my life. He sheds all over the bed, he's taken over the bed at night, he's taken over the bathroom. He nags at me whenever I get home, and when he wants something he'll act cute and whine until I give it to him. He also makes a mess and then looks at me like I need to clean it up.

So what does it all mean?

I think it's just God's humorous way of telling me that I don't need a girlfriend right about now.

Hah hah. Funny one.

I'd better get a lot of Rudy's turkey and BBQ sauce for this.

So I put Kaia in the shop up for some love and care due to my mishaps in Chicago.

And now... once again, I'm driving a silver Honda Civic. Oh the memories. I forgot what it was like to walk around the AMC 30 parking lot looking for your car because you don't have keyless entry and you can't make your car honk. And it's not like there aren't other Silver Honda Civics out there... and I'd had the car for like only a few hours so I really wasn't sure exactly what it looked like. That was fun, lemme tell you.

Anyway, I saw Revenge of the Sith with Keith and Gardiner. I must say, of all the pre-quels, I liked this one the best... though Darth Vader doesn't look nearly as menacing as I think the original intent to be. I really don't remember any of the other Star Wars though, so I'm gonna have to find someone to rent them with me and watch them.

Anyways... gotta go. Late night hunger strikes.
